I’m a reporter and photojournalist for ABC News on the south coast of Western Australia. Reporting for local, state and national audiences via radio, television and digital platforms. I’m part of a bureau that covers an area the size of Switzerland.
I’ve covered the COVID-19 pandemic, landslide McGowan Government election, deadly Australian bushfires, 2021 AFL Indigenous Dreamtime Match, Cleo Smith missing persons case, Queen Elizabeth II’s death, government scandals, breaking news, high-profile court cases, heated protests and exclusive public interest investigations.
I was previously a state political and health reporter at Seven West Media’s The West Australian newspaper in Perth.
I won a Young Walkley award in 2021 and was named the Young Australian Journalist of the Year for Coverage of Community and Regional Affairs for my investigation into a major public hospital. Followed by the MEAA WA Best New Journalist and Best Regional Coverage awards. In 2022 I won Best Feature Story at the rural media awards and the Charmaine Dragun Memorial Award for giving a voice to survivors of abuse. I was a runner-up in the Caroline Jones Young Journalist Award and have been a finalist in both the Best News Coverage and Best Health/Medical categories at the state media awards.
I graduated in 2018 from the University of Western Australia with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Media and Marketing. I also studied neuroscience, Italian, women’s health and business.
